Our Favorite Queer Porn

A lot of what passes for queer porn in the mainstream is anything but. For the most part, it conforms to the same strict gender roles that Big Porn chooses to uphold, and caters to the male gaze—think 'fake lesbians' more focused on the camera than each other, and god forbid two people with penises are allowed to touch each other. When it comes to desire, we are all different, and the boundaries can and should be blurred. We all deserve to see our selves and desires represented in porn, and the films we watch don't need to be constrained to any one category.

Proudly bucking the trends and the trending, our favorite queer porn producers are creating content for a varied audience, and it's some of the best, most diverse and downright hottest stuff out there. Read on for some of our favorite sites and why we advocate paying for your porn...

Crash Pad Series

One of the most famous queer porn sites on the internet, the Crash Pad series by Pink and White Productions has won awards from Xbiz to the Feminist Porn Awards, and is an APAC-trusted site, meaning that the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee, which provides representation and education to adult performers, approves of its mission.

The series is based on the cult classic The Crash Pad, a film centered on an apartment in San Francisco where queer partners can meet up and have insanely hot sex in secret. The only rule? Once you’ve used the key to the apartment seven times, you have to pass it on. This one is a fan favorite for a reason, and with dozens of episodes, the $25 monthly membership is a steal and will last you a long, long time.

PinkLabel.tv

From Shine Louise Houston, the same director who brings you Crash Pad, comes PinkLabel.tv, an incredible platform for independent adult producers. Though you may not realize it, small producers face a lot of challenges in finding distribution for their content, and PinkLabel.tv strives to provide resources and information to producers and performers alike.

If you chafe against the confines of mainstream porn, there’s something for nearly everybody on this site—their community of filmmakers and talent include queer and trans people, people of color, people of all ages and abilities, and their genres include eco-sexual outdoor porn, sci-fi, and porno vérité documentaries. (Wow.) Rent for 2 days or get any title for keeps—check out My Muddy Valentine and If Not Now.

Trouble Films

Trouble Films may be new on the block, but they’re no novices—the founder Courtney Trouble is the person behind Indie Porn Revolution, the longest-running queer porn site online. Trouble’s mission is to promote high-quality, sex-positive films that represent the true diversity of desire. Included in their offerings is a line of films by Chelsea Poe, a well-known and loved performer with an amazing voice and tons of award nominations under her own belt. Check out Fucking Against Fascism—it’s co-directed by Poe and Trouble, and portions of its sales are donated to Trans Lifeline, Black Lives Matter and other very, very worthy causes.

Their membership packages are also pretty cool—their monthly pass is offered on a sliding scale, from the $35 entry level to the $60 patronage level. Your contributions go toward supporting these producers and empowering performers to create content with them!

Sugarbutch Chronicles

More cerebral than visual? This smut site peddles in words instead of pictures, but it’s no less hot than any of the sites we’ve mentioned above. The author, Sinclair Sexsmith, writes stories and poems that are unapologetically focused on queerness, consent, domination and the exploration of gender roles. Short but sweet, they definitely get the job done.

If you like what you read, you can support Sinclair via Patreon, and get more tidbits and behind-the-scenes treats.

You might have noticed that many our favorites are membership or pay-per view sites. There's lots of free porn out there, and there's nothing wrong with sampling the wares. But when it comes to queer porn and indie producers with a much smaller platform than your average tube site, we feel it's very important to pay for what you're enjoying on a regular basis. Porn performance can be fun, but it's also real, hard work, so whenever possible, we should strive to support the people who make it possible.
